Qualified ARICS in 1981, FRICS in 1992 and MAPM in 1993.

Successfully completed Master of Science degree course in Construction Management at Heriot-Watt University in 1995.

Career Path:

Established Neilson Partnership in November 2001.

May 1998 – November 2001: Partner with RM Neilson Partnership, Glasgow.

November 1996 – April 1998: Established and headed up the new Glasgow operation of EC Harris.

June 1991 – October 1996: Quantity Surveying Manager with Scottish Enterprise.

1974 – 1991: Seventeen years in private practice, including a two-year post with Rider Hunt & Partners, in Sydney, Australia.
